Louise (PhD candidate in Counselling Psychology) has an impressive repertoire of TA experiences in diverse classroom settings and sizes. Louise will discuss the strategies for enhancing transparency and  accountability, as well as how to navigate obstacles to building a productive relationship with the instructor.

Liv (PhD Candidate in the Learning Sciences) is the coordinator for the ABC of the PhD series, hosted by McGill's faculty of education.  Liv has formerly served as the student facilitator of Course Design and Teaching Workshops (CDTW) for new instructors at McGill's Teaching and Learning Services.  Her work the link between teaching and research has been published in the Higher Education Research and Development journal.

Rolando (MEng. Candidate in Civil Engineering) is one of the 2013 recipients of the Department of Engineering Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award. He will provide techniques that will enable you to prepare and lead effective tutorial sessions, as well as how to avoid common pitfalls as an engineering TA.
